krk

Krk Island CroatiaThe island Krk is the most northern island of the Mediterranean Sea, connected to the mainland by a bridge. Even if it is so northern, the island has a nice climate with a annual average temperature 4 degrees higher than elsewhere in the same geographical width. At the same time Krk maintains the characteristics of an Adriatic island: jagged coasts rich of bays and inlets, a lot of little islands, beaches with rocks, pebbles and sand, a great cookery based on fresh fishes. There are two lakes on the island, first is called Ponikva and second Jezero. Island Krk has seven administrative centers: Krk, Omisalj, Malinska, Punat, Baska, Vrbnik and Dobrinj.

cres

Cres CroatiaCres is situated at the northern tip of Kvarner gulf. Island Cres is long and narrow mountainous island stretching 66 km in length and only from 2 to 12 km in width. The coast is indented with the total length of 248 km. This means plenty of coves, bays and fine mainly pebbly beaches for you to explore on its western and southern side, while northern and eastern shore is rather steep and rocky, with some spectacular scenery, inhabited only by the biggest bird in Europe, the endangered griffon vulture, which could be often seen gliding in the clear skies.

rab

Rab CroatiaRab is an island of sunshine, and this is no more phrase, for according to statistics it has 2,417 hours of sunshine a year. The sun shines on the island in June, July and August ten hours a day. Rab is the southernmost of the islands in the bay of Kvarner, with a mostly Mediterranean vegetation. When you have left the bare, somewhat savage looking ferry harbour of Misnjak, the island begins to be seen in a completely different light. The vegetation is luxuriant, and, because of the Mediterranean climate, as well as with the indigenous holm or holly oak, Rab is covered with evergreen forests.

In the administrative and territorial partition of the Republic of Croatia, Zlarin belongs to the Sibenik-Knin county, precisely, to the city of Sibenik. The island is connected to the mainland cities of Sibenik and Vodice by ship that comes about 10 times a day. It's interesting to say that Zlarin is one of rare islands of the Adriatic sea to which is not allowed access for cars. Climate is typically Mediterranean.

Its 270 kilometres of the indented coastline make it the island with the longest coastline on the Adriatic, rich with coves, bays, beaches and capes. The biggest bay, the bay of Pag, is rounded by 20 km of the gravel beaches. Pag is unique due to its vegetation where trees are the most rare form. Therefore, Pag is the largest kingdom of rocky ground on the Adriatic.

hvar

Hvar CroatiaThough representing a part of the diverse southern Croatian archipelago, formed by numerous islands, since the earliest days Hvar has been the subject of special recognition, distinguished by both its natural beauty and its cultural strata. It was chosen by the earliest prehistoric inhabitants because of it's pleasant climate and convenient havens and its arable land well-suited for cultivation, as well as for the defence and construction possibilities it offered. Due to its mild climate, the scent of lavender and other aromatic herbs which fills the air, the island of Hvar has been known as a health resort since 1868.

lopud

Lopud CroatiaThe beautiful island of Lopud is situated northwest of the city Dubrovnik and is a part of the Elafiti islands. The Elafiti islands seen from Dubrovnik to the north are Daksa, Kolocep, Sv. Andrija, Lopud, Ruda, Sipan, Jakljan, Tajan and Olipa. Most of these islands are very small and uninhabited. The islands Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan are the only inhabited islands. Lopud lies between the other two islands and is, in our opinion, the most beautiful. If you like a quiet vacation, a beautiful nature, some but not to much exercise, a good diner and a nice glass of wine and not expansive. Well, think about this place.
